Founded in 1978, Robertson Scannell has grown from 2 partners and 3 staff to a team of over 40 Chartered Accountants, Financial Planners and support staff. Today, we pride ourselves on being a one stop shop for all of our clients accounting, superannuation, financial planning and business advisory services.

Ian Scannell – FCA A Chartered Accountant who has been in public practice since 1967, Ian’s specialisations include business, succession and estate planning incorporating superannuation. He gains immense satisfaction from guiding family groups and businesses of all sizes, and assisting them plan for each stage of their business – and life. Ian spends his down time travelling and following sports of all codes. |

Barry Mahony – Dip Financial Planning An authorised representative of Count Financial, Barry commenced at Robertson Scannell with the late Alan Robertson in 1978. Barry specialises in income tax and superannuation advice for a range of long term clients including local businesses and family groups. He possesses a keen interest in local community organisations including the Toowoomba Golf and Turf Club, and is a past board member of both. Barry continues to enjoy a regular game of golf, horse racing and travel. |

Mark Mahony – CA Mark was made a partner of Robertson Scannell at just 26 years of age. He very much enjoys working with clients to facilitate business growth, specialising in multiple entity structures and planning. Mark aims to understand his clients’ business in its entirety, to take an active interest in their decision making process and assist them to make the best use of technology to achieve ongoing efficiencies. This frequently results in a business relationship which becomes a lasting friendship. Mark enjoys a game of golf, and is a board member of the Toowoomba Golf Club, he also enjoys a cold beer on a hot day! |

Dan Gabbett – CA A Chartered Accountant and partner at Roberstson Scannell since 1998. Dan specialises in SME clients particularly in the areas of business planning and analysis. He believes that the key to the successful planning he undertakes with his clients is to develop a close working relationship. This enables him to understand their goals and subsequently structure their business to ensure asset protection and tax minimisation. Dan is heavily involved in the local community as Chairman of the South West Area Committee of the Endeavour Foundation and a member of the Centacare Advisory Board and Toowoomba Chamber of Commerce and Industry Board. He also participates in the odd triathlon, goes to the beach and is involved with his two sons’ sporting teams. |

John Littleproud – CA An authorised representative of Count Financial John commenced his career as a qualified Accountant, however he has since moved into the area of Self Managed Superannuation Funds. He is now the partner in charge of the Financial Planning section, working in the highly specialised field of SMSF, risk protection and financial planning. John unwinds with cricket, tennis and camping as well as being heavily involved in his children’s sporting activities. |

Anthony Ahern – CPA, Affiliate ICAA Anthony specialises in business and investment structures, acquisitions and disposals and more complex taxation issues. Anthony finds it very rewarding to be able to work closely with his clients on their business and to provide tailored advice specific to their circumstances. Robertson Scannell’s diverse mix of clients across many industries keeps his work entertaining and challenging. Watching his three young sons grow up keeps Anthony busy, in addition he is heavily involved with Rugby Union, having coached USQ Saints junior teams for many years. He also enjoys travelling, camping, fishing, bbqs and beers – and really loves the Parramatta Eels! |
